Charlie had his first trim yesterday. He sat in his chair at my parents house while Jarrod trimmed and I collected pieces of Charlie's hair that was being cut. It wasn't a grand haircut and there was not really alot of hair to collect. But, it was more of a trim around his ears, down the back of his head and around his forehead.
Charlie had his first fever a few weeks ago. We went to a birthday party for a little boy at church who turned 1 (Noah Killough) and Charlie was sick 2 days later. He ran a fever for a day or so and of course, I took him to the doctor because it was his first fever. He has had a runny nose for like 2 weeks! As a result, he also gained three more teeth! So, he has 6 teeth at the moment with a 7th trying to push its way through! So, we've had lots of tears and screaming -- it must hurt when those teeth come through. Perhaps the fever and runny nose had more to do with the teeth coming in. But, I got sick, so did Jarrod and my Mom did too!
Charlie is getting more and more brave. He can stand on his own for a few seconds before he topples over. He still refuses to say "momma" but says "dadadada" all the time.
He's growing so quickly. It kinda makes me sad that he's growing so quickly. But, I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home and watch him discover the world around him.
