Walking, falling and fun

Charlie had a big birthday party. An illusionist from church (Bruce Davies) came and did tricks. It was mostly church friends and some folks from Brunswick that came. :) Charlie had a ball. Jarrod's parents came about a week before the party, so all of Charlie's grandparents were there. We kept thinking that Charlie would start walking by the time Jarrod's parents left.... but, he didn't.

Charlie started taking a few steps about three weeks ago. He's been walking (and falling) now for about 2 weeks. He's becoming a master at it. He has fallen and busted his mouth TWICE! The last one scared me to death. He was choking on blood and it was EVERYWHERE. He fell on my great, great aunt's hope chest that we had put in our living room to keep Charlie from climbing behind the couches!

We had a good Thanksgiving. Beverly and Gary came - but Trey and his family couldn't come.

Started putting Charlie in his bed almost everytime for his naps. Boy does he pitch a fit! Oh my goodness! Wails and screams like you've never heard. I've tried everything to make it less traumatic. Playing music in his room, reading him a book (he starts pitching a fit when he knows the book is ending) - but he always pitches a fit. Poor guy.

Charlie imitates everything you say and some of what you do. If you cough, he'll cough. If you say something - alot of times, he repeats it. He threw a tantrum on the floor today at my parents. Laying in the floor and looking up at me while I sat on the couch. He'd cry and see what I'd do! Already! And he's only 13 months old! I fear that I need to start reading books on the strong-willed child!

Praying!
